From Buchanan Bus Station, Glasgow. 1.5 hours journey to monument at Cairndow. Inn 200 yards along single track road in middle of village.
By Air
From Glasgow Airport, west on M8 motorway via the Erskine Bridge. A82 north up to Loch Lomond-side to Tarbert. Then A83 west through Arrochar over rest and be thankful to Cairndow. Just past Dunoon turn-off.
By Ferry
From Dunoon terminals, A815 up Loch Eck to Strachur then along east shore of Loch Fyne to A83 junction. Turn left 0.5 miles to Cairndow village. Inn in middle of village, 0.5 miles down single track road. |
